Community Medicine Department
Community Medicine and Public Health is an academic subject and medical specialty focused on the health of population and communities rather than individual patients, emphasizing disease prevention, health promotion and primary healthcare. It involves identifying community health needs, planning and evaluating health programs, conducting epidemiological studies, and educating the public on health-related issues.
The goal is to develop good clinician, alongside public health leaders who can deliver comprehensive, preventive and rehabilitative care at the community level.
