Paediatrics & Neonatology Department
The department of paediatrics has been established since the inception of this medical college in the year of 2000. Since then, the department is serving the children of local community saving hundreds of lives every year.
Currently the Department is enriched with 2 professors, 1 senior consultant, 2 Assistant professors, 1 Registrar, 1 Assistant Registrar and 4 medical officers who are serving both inpatient and outpatient department.
The deport has paediatric & neonatal unit. The paediatric ward has total 30 beds and the neonatal unit has 10 beds.The pediatric ward is dealing with common pediatric diseases as well as some critical caseslike Meningitis, Encephalitis, Dengue, Shock syndrome, some acute mal nutrition, Tubercula Meningitis, pott's disease etc.
The neonatal unit provides support to the neonate with perinatal asphyxis, pre-term low birth weight babies and its complications, congenital prenm's, neonatal sepsis etc. The department is committed to the provide best possible services to pediatric community.
